Buying a home is a very exciting process and often filled with much anxiety, especially if the house is older. But even new homes can have issues. Just because the house has passed all Government inspections does not mean that it is fit to be a home. Government inspectors are looking for minimum compliance, which is hardly the definition of quality construction. I am born into the construction industry,  both of my grandfathers were general contractors, my Dad was a master carpenter/ general contractor and he put me to work at the age of fifteen. Forty years experience as a carpenter/contractor gives me a unique insight into building construction. The transition into inspections was a natural process, I didn't just take a class and poof!, now I'm an inspector. I got here by the long road, the less traveled road when it comes to inspectors, so if you decide to use me for your inspection you can be assured that I know what I am looking at. For the buyer, or seller, I will walk the client through the entire construction process relative to the type of house and the year of construction. There are many different kinds of construction with pros and cons to each, and I will do my best to point out strengths and weaknesses as we make our way through the inspection.

The cost of a home inspection is very small relative to the home being inspected. I am determined to perform inspections of the upmost quality, with integrity.  For a buyer, I will make sure that they know and understand every fact about the property that they are purchasing.  For sellers, I will provide a report that gives 100% full disclosure, with no worries of a buyer coming back and questioning anything regarding the property.

Anytime that you are purchasing a property, I understand that it is a HUGE investment.  Everyone involved needs to know every aspect of the property.  I take pride in providing this service.  The majority of my business is from client referrals and from real estate agent recommendations.  I work directly for the client.  My job is to insure that the client understands every item that may be reported.  My job does not end after the report is completed.  Should you have any questions months down the road, you are encouraged to give me a call and I will do whatever it takes to insure that you are completely comfortable in your knowledge of the property.
